Potential usage of AI in Synchro training
AI tools can be powerful assistants in the training of synchronized figure skaters, both at the individual and team levels.
At the individual level, AI can be used to analyze a skater’s movements and provide real-time feedback. This can be achieved through computer vision-based gait analysis and pose estimation, a subfield of AI that trains computers to interpret and understand the movement and posture of athletes. Using digital images from cameras and videos, computer vision can accurately capture and analyze a skater’s form during various elements, such as spins, jumps, and footwork.
