From the time she was 4 years old, New Jersey native Tricia DeFelice competed in figure skating.

She rode that competitive streak through high school and into college, skating at the varsity level at Adrian College in Michigan until her recent graduation.

And now?

Well, she straps on a cowgirl hat and yee-haws her way through Disney on Ice, much to the delight of “Toy Story” fans young and old — and herself.

“It’s crazy to see all of the young children’s reactions in the crowd,” said DeFelice, who grew up in Ocean City, from the tour’s stop in Boston. “Especially, I’ll come out as Jessie and everyone’s screaming and yelling and super excited and I think that’s what makes it all worth it now… competing is a different kind of vibe.”
