Skaters gonna skate — and in New York City, there are more spots than ever to get your glide on this winter. From a nostalgic outdoor rink alongside JFK Airport to a hipsteriffic patch of ice amid old Brooklyn factory buildings, here are the city’s best new rinks, plus a few old favorites.
TWA Runway Rink
Once you get the “Hell has frozen over!” joke out of your system, JFK Airport’s new ice rink is a pretty chill experience.
“It’s like going back in time,” skater Abigail Ritch, 29, tells The Post. The Financial District resident, who coaches figure skating professionally, shared the itty-bitty outdoor rink (just under 2,500 square feet) with a local family of three and several traveling couples on a recent Saturday night.
