Disney on Ice a Dream job for Lauren McCabe
Lauren McCabe, who got her start at the Bourne Ice Arena at age 10, now plays Disney princesses on the ice and in the air as part of the “Celebrate Memories” show, which stops at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence from Dec. 26-29.
Lauren McCabe has always been athletic, and she tried many sports while growing up — lacrosse, soccer, even horseback riding — before taking an ice skating class. She was instantly hooked.
At age 10, the Falmouth native “fell in love with it” taking a learn-to-skate class at the Bourne Ice Arena, home to Olympic star Nancy Kerrigan. Even though she got a relatively late start in the sport, McCabe progressed quickly, attending high school in Minnesota to hone her craft. She’ll bring her skills and tricks to the ice at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center from Dec. 26-29 as part of the Disney on Ice “Celebrate Memories” show.
