PALM SPRINGS, Calif. – Local ice skater Vaclav Vasquez is one of twelve skaters participating in the 2019 US Figure Skating Championships in Detroit Michigan at the end of January. Vasquez is 10-years-old and competes at the juvenile level. He is a member of the Desert Figure Skating Club and is the first skater in the club’s history to qualify for Nationals.
