Iceland introduces ‘world’s first supermarket ice rink’
Iceland has transformed one of its stores into an ice rink in an effort to liven up the chore of festive shopping.
The frozen food supermarket’s branch in east London’s Stratford was transformed overnight by a team of 12 experts into a 2,700 sq ft synthetic ice rink.
A locker room area was installed for shoppers to swap shoes for skates before they took to the aisles on their Christmas shop.
